2. Purpose of the Terms of Use

These Terms define the rules for using VaPlan, a sports planning platform for creating sessions, analyzing activities, and tracking training. Accessing or using the site means full acceptance of these Terms.

3. Access to the service

The site is accessible free of charge. Some features may later become premium. Users must have internet access and compatible equipment.

4. Account creation

Certain features require an account with accurate, up-to-date information. You agree to keep your credentials confidential, not impersonate others, and not bypass technical limits. The publisher may suspend or delete an account for breach of these Terms.

5. Use of the service

You agree not to disrupt the site, not to use unauthorized automations, not to publish illegal or offensive data, and not to access other users’ information. The service supports training organization but is not a substitute for professional coaching.

6. User-generated content

You keep full rights over the data you create or import (sessions, notes, activities). You grant the site a limited license to host, display, process, and sync data with external services. This license ends when the account is deleted.

7. Intellectual property

The site content (text, graphics, code, databases, logo) is protected by copyright. Any reproduction or unauthorized use is prohibited.

8. Personal data

The site collects and processes data necessary for operation, including account identifiers, email, user-entered or imported sports data, preferences, and partner API data. Full details are in the Privacy Policy. You may exercise your rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability) via: vaplan@protonmail.com.

9. Security

VaPlan implements reasonable technical measures to protect data, but no system is risk-free. You are responsible for your credentials and device security.

10. Service availability

The service is intended to be available 24/7, subject to maintenance or events beyond the publisher’s control. No guarantee of permanent availability is provided.

11. External links

The site may contain links to third-party services. The publisher is not responsible for their content or operation.

12. Use of APIs and third-party services

VaPlan offers connections to sports services such as Strava, Garmin, Coros, or other API providers.

12.1 Data accessible via API

By connecting an external account, you authorize access to data provided by the third party, such as public profile identity, activities (distance, duration, HR, GPS, power, etc.), detailed metrics (laps, segments, cadence, elevation), and device-related technical data. Only data required for the platform is used.

12.2 Use of API data

Imported data may be used to display activities, produce statistics, generate or adjust training plans, synchronize history, and improve user experience. These data are never sold.

12.3 Revoking API access

You can remove the connection from your account (if applicable) or directly via the provider (e.g., Strava → My Apps → Revoke Access). After revocation, no new data is imported. Deletion of previously imported data can be requested via vaplan@protonmail.com.

12.4 Responsibility of third-party services

Third-party services have their own terms. The publisher is not responsible for API downtime, permission changes, technical regressions, or quota limits imposed by providers.

12.5 Strava-specific terms

By connecting Strava, you acknowledge that the application complies with the official Strava API rules: https://www.strava.com/legal/api. Strava may impose limits on sensitive data retention, display requirements, and policies for private data (masked zones, protected GPS coordinates).

13. Termination and account deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion removes associated data unless legal obligations require retention.

14. Changes to the Terms of Use

The Terms may be updated at any time. The applicable version is the one displayed on this page.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, French courts have jurisdiction. If the site offers paid services, a consumer mediator must be designated in accordance with the French Consumer Code.
